There were 78,352 students enrolled in DPS
in the 2009/2010 school year. Over 55,000 of those students were
eligible for free or reduced lunch. This means almost 70% of
Denver Public School students are considered at poverty level
or below. Adequate clothing is often limited or neglected for
this population of children. |
