Featured Volunteers

Our volunteer of the month is Juanita Colehower. Juanita came to us with the Littleton National Charity League in September and has not stopped coming since. She has volunteered as a personal shopper, sorting and tagging the many clothes that come in the door and has just recently taken on the reminder calls to our clients. We, at CTKD, are so blessed to have Juanita's smiling and happy face at the store. Here's her story!

I was born and raised in Los Altos, California. I married my high school sweetheart after college and we have lived in Europe and up and down the California coast. Our latest move brought us to beautiful Colorado this past June for my husband Kurt’s job. We have four children, Max (19) a freshman at CU Boulder, Alyssa (15) a freshman at Cherry Creek High and twins Sam and Madeleine (10) 4th graders at Belleview Elementary. I volunteer at the children’s schools and also I am involved with the Littleton chapter of the National Charity league with my oldest daughter, Alyssa. I am the philanthropy liaison for CTKD for the National Charity league. My favorite part of working at Clothes to Kids of Denver is seeing the parents leave with clothes for their children – they look as though a huge weight has been lifted off their shoulders. In my spare time I am raising two puppies that keep me busy from dawn until dusk, and enjoy Pilates and long walks in this beautiful weather.
