Nearly 400 guests helped us celebrate our Third Annual Blue Jean Bash on September 23, 2017, at CU South Denver. Thanks to our sponsors, auction donors and those who gave in the special appeal, we raised $190,000+ (and counting!) for Clothes To Kids of Denver – our most successful year yet!
We had an especially photogenic crowd this year, so be sure to also check out our Shutterfly Photo Share Page to view, download and print photos from the event. Have some great shots to share? You can even upload your own photos!
Event guests were treated to a special video ‘Thank You’ from some of our Clothes To Kids shoppers:
Long-time Clothes To Kids supporter Mitch Jelnicker of Denver7 News, pictured here with his wife Kelly, served as our emcee and speaker for the evening. Thank you, Mitch!
All proceeds benefit Clothes To Kids of Denver, which provides new and quality used clothing to school-age students from low-income or in-crisis families in the Denver Metro Area, completely free of charge.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who came out to support us at our Reading, Writing and A Wardrobe luncheon on Wednesday April 26, 2017.
Generous guests gave more than $28,000, $20,000 of which was matched dollar for dollar by the Olson-Vander Heyden Foundation.
Special thanks to our luncheon speakers Arzelle Lewis, Joyce Meyers, Barbara Howie, Crystal Purcell and Nik Stoffel for an inspiring presentation and to Bill and Sandy Arnold for their impromptu addition to our program!
Obtain permission to place the bin at your school. Look for a spot near a main entrance where people can easily leave their donations.
Sign and return the Bin Champion contract (available on the second page in the packet above). As part of the commitment to participate, you must designate a Bin Champion to bring the clothing to the Clothes To Kids shop and act as the main contact for your site.
Once you have submitted your contract, a Clothes To Kids representative will contact you to arrange your delivery. Bins are typically delivered in September/October each year. Please note that there are a very limited number of bins available so we cannot guarantee immediate availability and your school may be placed on a waiting list.
The Clothes To Kids School Bin Program would not be possible without the generous support of the RK Foundation (of Denver-based mechanical contractor RK). RK designed and constructed the bins in their sheet metal fabrication shop and has pledged to construct and deliver 10 bins per year through 2019.
Thank you RK!!
